Branching for the 0.9.8.5 release.
This commit incorporates changes (hopefully all of them) that should NOT be
merged back to 0.9.8.x:
- Set the version number to 0.9.8.5-1
- Disabled path hoisting and updated the tests accordingly
- Removed the "this version is undergoing changes" warning.
