Log message:
Started reorganizing directory structure. We talked about renaming these files
but I figured I should wait until we have a firm decision about what the new
names should be. The build philosophy for the new layout is that the build
info lives in the root of the extensions directory tree. Each extension
sub-directory contains only code, no build files. This was a somewhat
arbitrary choice, but it seems good to me to keep the build control
centralized.
I know that we are going to put the backend code for each extension in the
normal extension subdirectory, but what did we decide about the core backend
code? Do we leave it the way it is now?
